London creative and design agency targets future growth on the back of key contract wins with financial backing provided by Royal Bank of Scotland.
Team expansion and new contract wins is driving further growth at London creative and design agency Lion Creative. A funding deal to assist the agency’s expansion strategy has also been agreed with Royal Bank of Scotland and its invoice finance team.
Lion Creative was established 35 years ago by Managing Director Richard Gower who runs the business with his colleagues Sean Thompson and Natasha Goldring. The agency boasts some impressive blue chip clients including Ella’s Kitchen, Ferrero, United Biscuits, Danone and Tate & Lyle Sugars.
The agency has agreed a refinance deal with Royal Bank of Scotland to help its growth strategy after securing significant new contract wins, which includes the launch of an exciting new children’s bathroom range from Ella’s Kitchen’s owner called Paddy’s Bathroom. The funding deal includes loan and working capital facilities to also support day to day cash flow management.
Richard Gower, Director, Lion Creative:
"Sean, Natasha and I are all thrilled with the success we are achieving at Lion Creative. We work in a very competitive industry but are holding our own and are delighted to work with some of the leading consumer and retail brands on their creative and design strategies. We’ve won some large new accounts recently and this has had a massive impact on our expansion plans and as a result we are recruiting two new staff.
"We are all extremely passionate about our work and really enjoy working with our clients. We were looking to switch our banking facilities to bring everything under one umbrella and it was very important for us to work with a team that would take the time to understand our business.
We interviewed three banks and chose Royal Bank of Scotland mainly because Pritesh Lad and Paul Rice conveyed confidence in their services and in us. They understood our concerns with our previous bank, and gave us faith they could deliver what we needed. They have helped us every step of the way and given us the confidence to focus on running our business. I wish we'd made the change sooner."
Paul Rice, Royal Bank of Scotland:
"Lion Studios has an impressive client base and are enjoying strong growth in a sector that can be challenging. The working capital facility works well alongside the loan to provide funds to support day to day cash flow needs and the agency’s expansion strategy."
Pritesh Lad, Royal Bank of Scotland:
"I worked closely with Richard, Natasha and Sean to really understand their business objectives so that we could provide the right funding support. As a result we have established a great working relationship as well as a tailored funding solution."
