Charity football match raises funds for the Action for Rehabilitation from Neurological Injury Institute

  • The invoice finance team from Feltham competed in charity football match to raise funds for the ARNI Institute
  • Over £2,000 has been raised so far

People from our invoice finance team in Feltham have competed in a charity football match at the Teddington Locks Sports Ground to raise funds for the Surrey-based charity, Action for Rehabilitation from Neurological Injury Institute (ARNI).

Anthony Ogunyemi organised the match against one of their customers, Complete Cooling Solutions (CSS). The match was won 8-2 by CCS and an impressive £2,100 has been raised so far, with further donations still filtering through. The ARNI Institute is close to Anthony’s heart after he lost his father to a stroke and he feels passionate about supporting this charity and its work.

Anthony Ogunyemi, Assistant Relationship Manager (invoice finance team):

"After losing my father I wanted to support a charity that specialises in rehabilitating stroke survivors. By combining my love of football and utilising the great relationship we have with the Complete Cooling Solutions team, it has helped us raise vital funds to allow the ARNI Institute to continue their good work."

Dr Tom Balchin, Director at the ARNI Institute:

"We're delighted at the support and funds that were raised. Raising over £2,000 at this event is a real achievement.

"We have over 100 highly qualified professional trainers around the UK, teaching stroke survivors to gain better action control through our dynamic and innovative rehabilitation programme. Through proactive supporters like the team from Royal Bank, we're able to help stroke survivors get back on the road to recovery."

Marilla Stevens, Financial Director at CCS:

"In a tensely fought battle, the mechanical engineers faced victory against the bankers in a charity football match. It was a great turn out from both sides to help raise funds for the ARNI Institute. An incredible amount was raised through match fees, food and drink and raffle tickets sold on the day, which will go a long way in helping those affected by strokes."
